Hofmann Personal is seeking skilled Conventional Lathe Machine Operators to join a leading manufacturing company in the Czech Republic. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating conventional and automatic lathe machines to produce precision metal components while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and workplace safety.
CONVENTIONAL LATHE MACHINE OPERATOR
Qualifications:
- Male applicants, up to 35 years old.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Lathe Operator, Metal Turner, or Metal Machinist.
- Graduate of a Vocational Course, Apprenticeship, or Trade Certification in Metal Machining or a related field.
- Skilled in operating conventional and automatic lathe machines.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Basic knowledge of technical English terminology for understanding workplace instructions.
- Physically fit and able to lift 16–20 kg when required.
- Willing to work in a noisy industrial manufacturing environment and on 11.5-hour shift schedules.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, safety awareness, and the ability to follow work instructions accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Operate conventional and automatic lathe machines for precision metal machining.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately.
- Set up, adjust, and monitor lathe machines to ensure efficient production.
- Measure finished components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure proper operation.
- Operate automated welding equipment used in the assembly of spark plugs (training provided by the employer).
- Handle materials using manual or electric transport carts within the production area.
- Maintain production quality standards by following established manufacturing procedures.
- Observe workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the employer.
