Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced Commis Chef specializing in European/Western Cuisine to support kitchen operations in a resort or hotel environment. The successful candidate will assist senior chefs in food preparation and maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety
COMMIS CHEF
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Commis Chef or similar kitchen position.
- Previous experience in a resort or hotel is required.
- Specialization in European/Western Cuisine.
- Good knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced professional kitchen.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
- Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to follow instructions and learn from senior chefs.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
- Must be 49 years old or below.
Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs in preparing and cooking European and Western cuisine.
- Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, seafood, sauces, and other food items according to recipes and kitchen requirements.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, plating, and presentation.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain consistent food quality and presentation standards.
- Follow recipes, preparation procedures, and instructions from senior chefs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist with proper storage, labeling, and handling of food ingredients.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Coordinate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef or kitchen supervisor.
