Glastonbury Purveyor Co Ltd is seeking an accomplished Chief Finance Officer/Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO) to provide executive leadership across finance, operations, supply chain, commercial activities, and organizational development in Fiji. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to develop and execute company strategy, strengthen financial performance, optimize business operations, manage risk, and build scalable systems that support sustainable growth and profitability.
Chief Finance Officer/Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO)
Qualifications:
- Must have 12–15+ years of progressive senior executive experience managing both finance and core business operations, such as CFO, COO, VP of Finance & Operations, or an equivalent senior leadership position.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is advantageous.
- Proven senior-level experience leading both financial management and business operations.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, cash-flow management, accounting, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Extensive experience in strategic planning, capital allocation, cost management, and working capital optimization.
- Strong knowledge of risk management, internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience overseeing supply chain, logistics, procurement, inventory, fulfillment, and distribution operations.
- Strong contract negotiation and vendor-management skills, particularly with logistics, freight, manufacturing, and technology partners.
- Demonstrated ability to develop scalable processes, improve operational efficiency, and implement technology or automation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of sales operations, pricing strategy, revenue management, marketing budgets, ROAS, CAC, and customer lifetime value.
- Excellent strategic thinking, financial judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and people-management abilities with experience developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior executives, investors, financial institutions, clients, vendors, and strategic partners.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, business compliance, and organizational risk.
- Highly accountable, commercially minded, results-oriented, and capable of making sound decisions in a complex business environment.
Responsibilities:
- Executive Leadership & Strategic Planning
- Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team in developing company strategy, long-term business plans, and capital allocation priorities.
- Translate the company’s corporate vision into actionable operational roadmaps, financial objectives, and measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor overall business performance and provide strategic recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and long-term growth.
- Serve as an executive ambassador and key company representative in meetings with financial institutions, investors, major clients, strategic partners, and other stakeholders.
- Provide senior leadership with financial and operational insights to support informed business decisions.
- Establish performance management frameworks and ensure departments remain aligned with strategic objectives.
- Financial Management & Strategy — CFO Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cash-flow management.
- Develop financial plans that support business growth, profitability, liquidity, and long-term sustainability.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and ensure timely and accurate financial information.
- Ensure financial reporting complies with applicable local and international accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Manage banking, debt, equity, and other financial relationships on behalf of the company.
- Evaluate financing opportunities and recommend appropriate capital structures.
- Assess potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A) opportunities and provide financial and strategic analysis to senior management.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls, risk-management processes, and audit procedures.
- Direct cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency.
- Optimize working capital, cash utilization, inventory investment, and other financial resources.
- Lead capital expenditure (CapEx) planning and evaluate major investments based on financial and operational priorities.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and established KPIs and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Operational & Supply Chain Leadership — COO Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, fulfillment, and distribution.
- Develop strategies to maximize operational efficiency, service quality, cost-effectiveness, and supply chain reliability.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement appropriate controls to reduce excess stock, shortages, waste, and unnecessary costs.
- Oversee procurement activities and supplier performance to ensure quality, cost, availability, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate and manage high-level contracts with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight companies, manufacturers, technology vendors, and other strategic partners.
- Establish operational standards and ensure vendors and partners meet agreed service and performance requirements.
- Standardize operational workflows and develop scalable business systems and processes.
- Identify opportunities to use technology and automation to improve productivity, reduce costs, and streamline cross-departmental operations.
- Monitor operational KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate across finance, procurement, logistics, sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure effective business execution.
- Commercial & Revenue Execution — Sales & Marketing
- Align financial objectives with sales operations and overall commercial strategy.
- Oversee sales pipeline management, pricing strategy, revenue targets, and incentive structures.
- Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue growth, profitability, and market position.
- Guide marketing budget allocation across digital marketing, brand development, and customer acquisition channels.
- Monitor Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) to ensure efficient use of marketing resources.
- Evaluate customer acquisition and retention performance in relation to company financial objectives.
Monitor Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and other go-to-market performance indicators. - Ensure commercial strategies are aligned with financial capacity, profitability targets, and overall business priorities.
- Human Resources & Organizational Development
- Direct HR strategy for talent acquisition, executive recruitment, compensation structures, performance management, and employee retention.
- Work with department leaders to identify organizational capability requirements and workforce priorities.
- Develop effective performance management systems aligned with company objectives and KPIs.
- Support the recruitment and development of high-performing management and executive teams.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance organizational culture.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor, employment, and workplace safety regulations across all operating jurisdictions.
- Promote effective communication, employee engagement, leadership development, and organizational accountability.
- Monitor organizational structure and workforce effectiveness and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Risk Management, Compliance & Governance
- Identify, assess, and manage financial, operational, commercial, and organizational risks.
- Ensure appropriate internal controls and governance procedures are implemented across the business.
- Monitor compliance with applicable financial, tax, employment, operational, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, financial advisers, legal professionals, banks, and other external stakeholders when required.
- Ensure management decisions are supported by accurate financial, operational, and performance data.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality and professional standards when handling sensitive corporate and financial information.
