Job Location: Qatar

Rafeek Basheer Medical Services is seeking compassionate, responsible, and experienced Caregivers to provide quality care and assistance to patients in Qatar. The successful candidates will support patients with daily activities, personal care, mobility, medication reminders, and basic health-related needs while maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. Candidates with an educational background in Midwifery, Nursing, or Practical Nursing are preferred.

CAREGIVER

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in a hospital or clinic.
• Candidates who are graduates of Midwifery, Nursing, or Practical Nursing are preferred.
• Knowledge of basic patient care and caregiving procedures.
• Ability to assist patients with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and daily activities.
• Ability to observe and report changes in a patient’s condition.
• Good understanding of patient safety, hygiene, sanitation, and infection prevention practices.
• Compassionate, patient, responsible, and respectful toward patients and their families.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with nurses, doctors, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Physically capable of assisting patients with mobility and daily care activities.
• Strong sense of responsibility, patience, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to follow healthcare facility policies, care instructions, and workplace procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and respectful care to patients according to their individual needs.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Assist patients with eating, drinking, and maintaining proper nutrition and hydration.
• Help patients move safely, including walking, transferring, and positioning as needed.
• Monitor patients for changes in physical condition, behavior, or general well-being.
• Check and record basic health observations as instructed by healthcare professionals.
• Assist with medication reminders and ensure patients take medications according to prescribed schedules.
• Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals with routine patient care activities.
• Provide support to patients before and after medical examinations or procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and comfortable patient-care environment.
• Assist with changing bed linens, organizing personal belongings, and maintaining patient areas.
• Help prevent falls and other accidents by following appropriate patient-safety procedures.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow care plans, instructions, and procedures provided by supervising healthcare professionals.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
• Assist patients with mobility exercises or other activities as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Observe and promptly report any unusual symptoms, discomfort, injuries, or changes in the patient’s condition.
• Maintain accurate records of care activities and relevant observations when required.
• Follow proper infection prevention, hygiene, sanitation, and safety practices.
• Handle caregiving equipment and supplies properly and safely.
• Respond appropriately to patient needs and emergency situations within the scope of the caregiver role.
• Perform other caregiving and patient-support duties assigned by management or supervising healthcare personnel.
