Garamut Enterprises Ltd. is seeking skilled Butchers to join its operations in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing, cutting, trimming, and processing meat products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and product quality.
BUTCHER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Butcher or in a similar role.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- Knowledgeable in meat cutting techniques and meat preparation.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and meat cutting equipment.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, debone, and prepare meat products according to customer and company specifications.
- Operate meat cutting tools, knives, saws, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare meat portions for display, packaging, or further processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the meat preparation area, tools, equipment, and work surfaces.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of meat products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Follow food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and company procedures at all times.
- Inspect meat products for quality and report any issues to supervisors.
- Lift, carry, and move meat products and supplies as required.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
- Perform other butchery-related duties as assigned by the employer.
