Krishna & Co. Lawyers & Notary Public is seeking a reliable and experienced Building Maintenance Repairs Technician to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of office buildings and facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of the premises by performing general repairs, plumbing, electrical maintenance, carpentry work, and other building maintenance tasks.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE REPAIRS TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or general repairs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Proven experience handling a wide range of building repairs, maintenance, and facility upkeep.
- Strong experience in plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing fittings, and clearing blockages.
- Experience in electrical maintenance, including repairing lights, switches, outlets, and troubleshooting minor electrical faults.
- Skilled in carpentry work, including repairing doors, locks, windows, furniture, and building fixtures.
- Basic knowledge of painting, masonry, and general construction repairs is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, basic technical drawings, and repair instructions.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple maintenance tasks.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting materials, climbing ladders, and performing manual work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of buildings, offices, and facilities to identify maintenance and repair requirements.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogged drains, damaged pipes, faucets, valves, toilets, and fittings.
- Perform electrical maintenance, including replacing light fixtures, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, and troubleshooting minor electrical faults.
- Carry out carpentry work, including repairing doors, locks, windows, cabinets, furniture, shelving, and building fixtures.
- Perform painting, patching, minor masonry, ceiling, flooring, and wall repairs as required.
- Install, repair, and replace building fixtures, hardware, and equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on pumps, water systems, air conditioning support components, and other facility equipment when required.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in good working condition.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and materials used.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for specialized repairs when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance work areas and storage facilities.
- Drive company vehicles to transport tools, materials, or perform off-site maintenance work when required.
- Perform other maintenance and facility-related duties assigned by management.
