Krishna & Co. Lawyers & Notary Public is seeking a competent and motivated Lawyer to provide legal advice, represent clients, prepare legal documents, and support a wide range of legal matters. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, colleagues, and relevant authorities to deliver professional legal services while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and firm policies
LAWYER
Qualifications:
- 3–7 years of relevant legal work experience.
- Preferably a holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Admission to the Philippine Bar is optional but highly desirable.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge of legal principles, court procedures, and legal documentation.
- Excellent legal research, drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and advocacy abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and ethical conduct.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and legal research tools.
- Willing to work in Fiji Islands and comply with local laws, firm policies, and professional standards.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on civil, commercial, corporate, property, employment, and other legal matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, legal opinions, pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients before courts, tribunals, government agencies, and other legal forums where authorized.
- Conduct legal research and analyze legislation, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal precedents.
- Prepare case strategies, legal submissions, and supporting documentation.
- Interview clients, gather facts, assess legal issues, and recommend appropriate legal solutions.
- Participate in negotiations, mediation, settlement discussions, and dispute resolution proceedings.
- Maintain accurate client files, legal records, and case documentation.
- Ensure compliance with legal ethics, professional standards, and confidentiality requirements.
- Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, clients, and external stakeholders as necessary.
- Keep abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and legal practices relevant to the firm’s areas of practice.
- Assist senior lawyers and partners with complex legal matters and case management.
- Travel to courts, government offices, and client locations when required.
- Perform other legal and administrative duties assigned by the firm’s management.
