Blokhaus Recruitment is hiring experienced Boom Truck (HIAB) Operators for construction and logistics projects in New Zealand. The role involves safely operating HIAB-equipped trucks to load, transport, and unload materials in accordance with site requirements and strict safety regulations.

BOOM TRUCK OPERATOR (HIAB OPERATOR)

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants only.
  • Below 45 years old.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as Boom Truck / HIAB Operator.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must hold a valid passport.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing lifting and field operations.
  • Ability to work in outdoor and construction environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate boom truck (HIAB) equipment for lifting, loading, and unloading materials.
  • Transport construction materials and equipment to various job sites.
  • Safely secure loads before transport to prevent damage or accidents.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle and HIAB equipment before and after use.
  • Follow lifting plans, safety procedures, and site instructions.
  • Communicate with site supervisors and ground crew during lifting operations.
  • Perform basic maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with road safety and occupational health regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of assigned vehicle and equipment.

  • Passport copy
  • Vaccine Card
  • Transcript of record and diploma (if college or vocational of 1year)
  • Form 137 and diploma (high school)
  • Employment certificate (for all company stated in your resume)
  • Other supporting documents available
  • Updated resume
