BLASTER PAINTER

As a Blaster Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying protective coatings to steel and other materials used in industrial environments. The role plays a critical part in ensuring structural durability, corrosion protection, and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sandblasting and industrial painting
• Experience working in petrochemical (onshore/offshore), construction, or manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of abrasive blasting, protective coatings, and surface preparation techniques
• Experience in lead paint removal and PFP coating application is an advantage
• Ability to operate relevant tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Good English communication skills for coordination and understanding instructions
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments
• Valid passport and willingness to complete required documentation (NBI clearance, employment certificates, etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Perform abrasive blast cleaning using sand, grit, or other media to prepare surfaces
• Apply protective coatings such as epoxy, polyurethane, and specialized industrial paints
• Conduct surface preparation including cleaning, degreasing, and masking
• Carry out lead paint removal and ensure safe handling of hazardous materials
• Apply passive fire protection (PFP) coating systems as required
• Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment (spray guns, compressors, etc.)
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and coating requirements
• Follow strict safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times
