Automotive Repairer (Upholsterer and Seamstress)

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and Training Courses is preferred
  • 3-5 years minimum experience
  • With valid 4-wheel driver’s license
  • Open to female candidate but they need to be independent physically.
  • Physical capacity to lift heavy weight important.
  • Experience working in the marine industry, would be an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Will work with car seats or upholsterer on boat seats.
  • Lay out, measure and cut upholstery materials according to sketches or design specifications
  • Replace worn-out webbing, springs and other furniture parts using hand and power tools
  • Operate sewing machines or sew upholstery materials by hand to seam cushions and join sections of covering materials
  • Remove benches and other type of material to repair it and reinstall it.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
  • Employment certificates
  • NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
  • PEOS certificate
