Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support oil and gas projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and reliability of mechanical equipment and piping systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the oil and gas, construction, or industrial sector is required.
• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment, piping systems, maintenance practices, and mechanical reliability.
• Familiarity with oil and gas industry standards, engineering codes, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, technical specifications, and equipment documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain rotating and static mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient oil and gas operations.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, inspection, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and piping systems.
• Monitor the performance and reliability of mechanical systems, identifying and resolving equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to support construction, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure all mechanical work complies with applicable engineering codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and documentation related to mechanical engineering activities.
