AUTO MECHANIC
Qualifications:
- Male, not more than 40 years old.
- Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic or in a closely related automotive mechanical position.
- Hands-on experience installing automotive accessories such as bumpers, roof racks, awnings, camping equipment, and overlanding equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in suspension installation, servicing, and repair.
- Capable of performing engine overhauls and related mechanical repairs.
- Capable of overhauling and repairing automotive transmissions and differentials.
- Experience with the overhaul and servicing of hydraulic shock absorbers.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical faults accurately and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Proficient in the proper use of automotive hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail when installing, repairing, and inspecting vehicle components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Good understanding of automotive safety practices and proper workshop procedures.
- Physically capable of performing hands-on mechanical work and handling automotive components and equipment.
- Willingness to follow technical instructions and company standards.
- Able to communicate effectively in English.
Responsibilities:
- Install and fit automotive accessories and off-road equipment according to vehicle specifications and customer requirements.
- Install and secure bumpers, roof racks, awnings, camping equipment, and overlanding accessories.
- Perform installation, servicing, and repairs of vehicle suspension systems.
- Inspect suspension components for wear, damage, leaks, and other mechanical issues.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate tools, testing procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various automotive mechanical systems.
- Carry out engine overhauls, including inspection, dismantling, repair, replacement, and reassembly of components.
- Perform transmission overhauls and repairs, ensuring proper operation and performance.
- Inspect, repair, and overhaul differentials and related drivetrain components.
- Service and overhaul hydraulic shock absorbers and other suspension-related components.
- Conduct mechanical inspections before and after repairs to ensure vehicles are operating safely and efficiently.
- Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized automotive equipment correctly and safely.
- Identify faulty or worn components and recommend appropriate repair or replacement.
- Ensure proper alignment, fitting, tightening, and installation of automotive parts and accessories.
- Test repaired vehicles and modified systems to verify functionality and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of completed repairs, maintenance work, and replaced components when required.
- Keep the workshop, tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow company procedures, workshop safety requirements, and proper handling practices.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians to complete repair and installation work efficiently.
- Communicate effectively in English regarding vehicle problems, repair requirements, work progress, and technical instructions.
