Aureol Global Connections is seeking qualified and experienced Auto Mechanics for an overseas work opportunity in Ireland. The successful candidates will perform vehicle servicing, preventive maintenance, repairs, basic diagnostics, brake and suspension work, wheel alignment, and clutch and flywheel replacement for cars and light commercial vehicles, with particular preference for mechanics with SsangYong brand experience.
AUTO MECHANIC
Qualifications:
- Qualified Motor Mechanic with experience working on cars and light commercial vehicles.
- SsangYong brand experience required.
- Proven experience in automotive servicing and mechanical maintenance.
- Practical experience with brake systems, suspension systems, and wheel alignment.
- Ability to perform basic automotive diagnostic work, including fault-code reading.
- Ability to conduct basic measurements and tests to identify failed or defective components.
- Experience replacing clutches and flywheels.
- Good understanding of vehicle mechanical systems and repair procedures.
- Ability to safely use automotive hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop machinery.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an automotive workshop team.
- Physically fit and capable of performing automotive repair and maintenance duties.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Valid Passport required.
- Age requirement: 25–50 years old.
- Willing to follow company policies, workshop procedures, safety standards, and supervisor instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on cars and light commercial vehicles.
- Carry out inspections to identify mechanical problems and maintenance requirements.
- Perform brake system inspection, servicing, repair, and component replacement.
- Carry out suspension repairs and maintenance, including inspection and replacement of worn components.
- Perform wheel alignment and related adjustments to maintain proper vehicle handling and tire performance.
- Conduct basic automotive diagnostic work using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
- Read and interpret diagnostic trouble codes and identify potential component failures.
- Perform basic measurements and tests to help pinpoint defective or malfunctioning components.
- Inspect engine, transmission, braking, suspension, steering, and other mechanical systems.
- Replace defective or worn automotive components according to manufacturer or workshop procedures.
- Perform clutch and flywheel replacement and related transmission repair work.
- Inspect clutch components and identify signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
- Carry out repairs and adjustments to restore vehicles to safe and reliable operating condition.
- Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, lifting equipment, and automotive workshop equipment safely.
- Perform road tests or operational checks after repairs when authorized.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Follow proper workshop procedures and manufacturer specifications.
- Keep tools, equipment, service bays, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow automotive workshop health and safety procedures.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Report major mechanical defects, additional repair requirements, and equipment problems to the supervisor.
- Coordinate with other mechanics, technicians, service advisers, and workshop personnel to complete repairs efficiently.
- Perform other automotive servicing, maintenance, diagnostic, and repair duties assigned by management.
