Ace Alloy Wheel Repair is seeking a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented Assembler to support its automotive repair and wheel restoration operations in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and fitting components, preparing repaired parts for installation, checking component alignment, and ensuring that completed work meets the company’s quality and safety standards.
ASSEMBLER
Qualifications:
- Relevant training or experience in automotive assembly, mechanical work, manufacturing, or a related field is an advantage.
- Previous experience as an assembler or automotive workshop worker is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of automotive components, mechanical fittings, and assembly procedures.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, diagrams, and work procedures.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to identify damaged, defective, or incorrectly fitted components.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on work, lifting suitable materials, and standing for extended periods.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage assigned tasks efficiently.
- Reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work independently and cooperate with technicians and other workshop personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, fit, and install automotive components and parts according to work instructions.
- Assist with the assembly and reassembly of alloy wheels and related components within the assigned scope of work.
- Inspect components before assembly to identify damage, defects, or missing parts.
- Prepare components, tools, and materials required for assembly tasks.
- Follow technical instructions, diagrams, and specifications when assembling parts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and appropriate workshop equipment safely and correctly.
- Ensure components are properly aligned, fitted, secured, and fastened.
- Check assembled parts for fit, finish, accuracy, and overall quality.
- Identify defective or unsuitable components and report them to the supervisor.
- Assist technicians, panel beaters, vehicle painters, and other workshop personnel with repair and assembly activities.
- Handle automotive parts carefully to prevent damage during assembly and installation.
- Clean components and remove dirt, grease, or other contaminants when required.
- Perform basic measurements and checks to ensure components meet the required specifications.
- Assist with the preparation, movement, and storage of parts and materials.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in good working condition.
- Keep the assembly area clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
- Follow workshop procedures, quality standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and assembly issues to the supervisor.
- Complete assigned assembly tasks accurately and within required timeframes.
- Perform other assembly, workshop support, and related duties assigned by management.
