Ship Welder (MIG/MAG)

Qualifications:

• At least intermediate proficiency in English.
• A minimum of five years’ professional experience in shipyards, dry docks, or shipbuilding facilities.
• Mandatory international work experience

Responsibilities:

• Welding of hull joints and cut- outs (excluding overhead welding);
• Welding of watertight bulkheads;
• Welding of engine foundations;
• Welding of beams (classified as general fastening in calculations);
• Welding of ladders, hatches, chains, lugs, and cargo lifting eyes.
• Overhead welding of weld seams in any metals;
• Welding of hull joints and cut-outs made of highly alloyed steel and aluminum alloys;
• Welding of superstructures made of aluminum alloys;
• Surfacing (cladding) of propeller and steering system components made of highly alloyed steel and copper alloys;
• Repair welding of cargo crane booms and other components.
• Welding of parts and assemblies made of highly alloyed steel and non- ferrous metals – especially complex, heavily loaded weld seams;
• Welding of beams and spreaders of cargo handling equipment;
• Welding of defects in forged, stamped, and cast parts of critical machines and mechanisms.
