SHEET METAL WORKER (Insulator/Lagger)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in marine insulation.
• Experience in applying Rockwool, Armaflex pipe sections and flat sheet and polyimide foam.
• The ability to perform the basic sheet-metal skills for compartments
• Trade certificate in sheet-metal but not essential
• Defense or Marine industry experience
• Able to undergo extensive pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
• Strong work ethic with proven work history.
• Positive and proactive approach to safety. Willingness to work overtime.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities:

• The removal and safe storage of furnishings.
• The removal and safe storage of non-structural bulkhead and deck-head panels
• Conduct insulation works on both bulkhead and deck-heads using polyimide foam and sealing all edges and joins.
• The application of Armaflex insulation on pipework, valves, flanges etc. sealing all with re-wettable cloth and fosters 30-36 seal-fast
• The installation of Rockwool insulation on exhaust systems etc. sealing all in accordance with work instruction requirements.
• The ability to manufacture cladding and flashings as instructed and install using the correct method and in accordance with the work instruction
