Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in site painting.
- Experience applying two-pack pants via Brush, Roller or Spray applications
- Trade certificate in Painting & Decorating or Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application
Defense, Industrial or Marine industry experience - Able to undergo extensive pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
- Strong work ethic with proven work history.
- Positive and proactive approach to safety.
- Willingness to work overtime, Must have a valid Driver’s License
- HRL (Rigging / Dogman, EWP, Forklift).
- Tickets (Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights).’
- Must be at least a graduate of 1-year vocational course or Completed at least 1 year in college.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning surfaces prior to and after surface preparation to specification
- Conducting masking/encapsulation
- Mixing paint according to instructions.
- Applying coatings via spray (Airless & Conventional), Brush & Roller to specification.
- Performing basic quality control functions during application such as testing WFT.
- Conducting works in various locations such as confined space and working at heights
- Responsible for the maintenance of equipment in accordance with QC standards
- Ensure that tools and equipment are maintained in a clean, complete and safe condition.
- Continuously monitor quality of work, Follow all safety instructions and procedures.
- Measure and record batch numbers and equipment serial numbers.
