Mechanical Fitter

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in Structural Fabrication.
• With marine experience.
• With marine experience, Rudders, Gearboxes, Pump change outs, Fire main system tests, Valve change outs (old for new), Alternator removal route installs, propulsion, and hydraulic systems, Sonar Dome installation, maintenance, breakdown, and repair type work as well as OEM work too
• Relevant industry experience working in marine, industrial plant and equipment, oil and gas, minerals processing, materials handling etc.
• Experience in marine propulsion systems, gearboxes & transmissions, load handling equipment, fluid management and processing systems.

Job Description:

• The job scopes include the following: Rudders, Gearboxes, Pump change outs, Fire main system tests, Valve change outs (old for new), Sonar Dome install, Alternator removal route installs, propulsion, and hydraulic systems, etc
• Fit and assemble metal parts to fabricate production machines and other equipment.
• Maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery and equipment to operational standards.
• Analyzing the blueprints for mechanical systems to determine the specifications of the components to be constructed.
• Conduct overhauling of various mechanical units in the workshop to the standards and specifications outlined.
• Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
