Generator Mechanic

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in diesel mechanics, electrical systems, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Generator Mechanical
• Physical strength and dexterity to handle heavy equipment and perform manual tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair generators, including diesel, gas, and portable units.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks to ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to identify faults and recommend repair solutions.
• Repair or replace defective components, including alternators, voltage regulators, wiring, and controls.
• Conduct load bank testing and performance evaluations on generators to verify efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Collaborate with team members to schedule and execute maintenance plans and emergency repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electrical systems and heavy machinery.
