Automotive Painter

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or certification in automotive painting preferred.
• Proven experience 5 years as an automotive painter.
• Proficiency in color mixing, matching, and applying paint coats using spray guns.
• Knowledge of different paint types, application methods, and drying times.
• Familiarity with paint preparation techniques, such as sanding, masking, and surface cleaning.
• Understanding of safety precautions when working with paints, solvents, and other chemicals.
• Attention to detail and ability to achieve high-quality finishes.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces.
• Mix and match paint colors to vehicle specifications using paint mixing equipment.
• Apply paint coats using spray guns, ensuring even coverage and smooth finishes.
• Apply touch-ups and refinishing work to repair paint defects or damages.
• Buff and polish painted surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Follow manufacturer’s specifications and recommended techniques for painting and refinishing.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage of painting materials and equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for handling paints, chemicals, and equipment.
