Cooling Technician (Refrigeration)
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Cooling Technician (Refrigeration) or a related role.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of refrigeration systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and electrical schematics.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety standards related to refrigeration equipment.
- Experience with commercial refrigeration systems (preferred). • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Must be physically fit to handle manual tasks and work in tight or high-temperature environments.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair various refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and display cases.
- Perform routine maintenance on cooling units to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns.
- Install new refrigeration systems and modify existing systems according to requirements.
- Ensure all refrigeration equipment complies with company and safety regulations.
- Use various tools and equipment such as pressure gauges, leak detectors, and recovery systems to diagnose issues.
- Charge and recover refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work conducted.
- Assist in training junior technicians and provide support for team members when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and departments to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by management to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
