WPS Recruitment is seeking skilled and hardworking Woodworkers for an overseas work opportunity in Ireland. The role is suitable for candidates with broad woodworking or carpentry experience who can perform a variety of workshop and manufacturing tasks, even without specializing in a particular machine.

Woodworker (General Woodworking Experience)

Qualifications:

• General woodworking or carpentry experience.
• Good practical and manual skills.
• Broad knowledge of woodworking processes and workshop practices.
• Ability to use basic woodworking hand tools and power tools.
• Experience in manufacturing or production is preferred.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn new skills, machinery, and production techniques.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and production requirements.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual woodworking tasks.
• Adaptable and willing to work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of general woodworking and carpentry tasks.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood and related materials.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with the production and assembly of furniture, cabinets, timber components, and other wood products.
• Read and follow basic drawings, measurements, work instructions, and production specifications.
• Perform sanding, drilling, routing, fitting, and other woodworking operations as required.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality, accuracy, and defects.
• Make basic adjustments and corrections to ensure proper fitting and finishing.
• Assist experienced tradespeople and production team members with workshop activities.
• Maintain tools, machinery, materials, and work areas in clean and organized condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and safe tool-operation practices.
• Meet production targets while maintaining good quality and workmanship.
• Learn new woodworking techniques, machinery, and production methods as required.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Perform other woodworking and manufacturing duties assigned by management.
