Abdulrahman Al Bader Sons Co. for Trading and Contracting Co. is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to support EPC in-plant construction projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting welding activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards, and maintaining accurate inspection records for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Refinery projects.
WELDING INSPECTOR
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Welding Inspector in EPC in-plant construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, WPS, PQR, AWS, and ASME codes and standards.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries, preferably on Saudi Aramco projects.
- Skilled in fit-up inspection, welding inspection, and quality documentation.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform fit-up inspections and welding inspections throughout all stages of fabrication and installation.
- Verify compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), project specifications, and client requirements.
- Inspect welding materials, consumables, joint preparation, alignment, and welding techniques before, during, and after welding activities.
- Ensure all welding work complies with applicable AWS, ASME, and project quality standards.
- Review welding documentation, inspection reports, material traceability records, and quality control documents.
- Coordinate with welders, supervisors, quality engineers, and project teams to resolve welding-related quality issues.
- Monitor welding activities to ensure adherence to approved procedures and safety requirements.
- Witness and document inspections, testing activities, and corrective actions when required.
- Prepare and maintain accurate quality assurance and inspection records.
- Support project audits and ensure compliance with client requirements, including Saudi Aramco standards where applicable.
