Fone Haus Limited, Papua New Guinea’s leading retailer and distributor of mobile phones and accessories, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Designer to develop, maintain, and enhance the company’s digital presence. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive websites that support the company’s retail operations, online marketing initiatives, and customer engagement. This role requires a strong understanding of web design principles, user experience (UX), and modern web technologies.

Web Designer

Qualifications:

• Filipino applicants only.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Computer Science, Multimedia Arts, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Web Designer or in a similar role with a reputable company.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
• Experience using web design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, Sketch, or similar applications.
• Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or other website platforms is an advantage.
• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles, website optimization, and SEO best practices.
• Experience creating graphics, digital advertisements, and promotional materials for online marketing campaigns.
• Strong creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Must possess a passport valid for at least two (2) years.

Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites and landing pages that align with the company’s branding and business objectives.
• Create visually engaging layouts, graphics, banners, icons, and other digital assets for websites and online campaigns.
• Ensure websites provide an excellent user experience (UX) and intuitive user interface (UI) across desktop and mobile devices.
• Collaborate with marketing, retail, and IT teams to implement promotional campaigns, product launches, and website updates.
• Optimize website performance, page speed, accessibility, and search engine optimization (SEO) best practices.
• Maintain website content, including product pages, promotional materials, blogs, and multimedia content.
• Conduct website testing, troubleshoot design issues, and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Work with developers to implement new website features and functionality as required.
• Monitor website analytics and user behavior to recommend design improvements and enhance customer engagement.
• Ensure website security standards and data privacy practices are followed during design and content updates.
• Maintain consistency in corporate branding and visual identity across all digital platforms.
• Stay up to date with emerging web design trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Perform other web design and digital marketing duties assigned by management.
