Bay Trusses & Frames Pty Ltd is offering an overseas employment opportunity for qualified applicants seeking a Wall and Floor Tiler position in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing wall and floor tiles, preparing surfaces, performing screeding and waterproofing, and ensuring high-quality finishes for residential and commercial construction projects.

WALL AND FLOOR TILER

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least graduates of a four-year undergraduate course.
• High school graduates must be willing to take the IELTS or PTE English proficiency test.
• Must have practical experience installing wall and floor tiles.
• Must have experience performing screeding and preparing surfaces for tiling.
• Must be knowledgeable in waterproofing procedures and applications.
• Must have experience working with tiles of various sizes and types.
• Must be able to measure, cut, fit, and install tiles accurately.
• Must be able to read and interpret building plans, diagrams, and project specifications.
• Must understand tiling tools, adhesives, grout, waterproofing materials, and installation techniques.
• Must be capable of working on residential and commercial construction projects.
• Must demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to produce durable, professional finishes.
• Must understand workplace health and safety requirements.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a four-wheeled vehicle.
• Must be willing and qualified to work in Australia, subject to applicable employment and visa requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Install tiles on interior and exterior walls and floors in residential and commercial properties.
• Prepare surfaces for tiling, including cleaning, leveling, measuring, and applying suitable substrates.
• Perform screeding to create smooth, level surfaces before tile installation.
• Carry out waterproofing work in areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, and other wet areas.
• Measure and mark surfaces to determine tile layouts and ensure accurate alignment.
• Cut and fit tiles of various sizes to suit corners, edges, openings, and other installation requirements.
• Apply adhesives, grout, and other tiling materials using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Read and interpret building plans, tiling layouts, diagrams, and project specifications.
• Inspect completed tiling work to ensure consistent spacing, proper alignment, and quality finishes.
• Repair or replace damaged tiles and correct installation defects when required.
• Select and use appropriate tiling tools, equipment, and materials.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other construction trades to complete projects efficiently.
