Australian Skilled Migration is seeking experienced Vinyl Welding/Flooring workers to work in Australia. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, preparing, joining, welding, and finishing vinyl flooring in residential, commercial, healthcare, and other professional environments. The position requires strong practical skills in handling large rolls of vinyl flooring, accurate installation, surface preparation, seam finishing, and compliance with workplace safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the same field is required.
- Must have completed at least 1 year in college or a 1-year vocational course.
- Proven experience in vinyl flooring installation.
- Must have experience working with large rolls of vinyl flooring.
- Experience in vinyl welding is highly preferred.
- Experience working in hospitals or other commercial premises is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of vinyl flooring preparation, installation, joining, seam finishing, and repair.
- Skilled in accurately measuring, cutting, laying, and finishing vinyl flooring.
- Knowledge of vinyl welding techniques and proper use of vinyl welding equipment.
- Ability to work with flooring adhesives, seam materials, welding rods, and related installation products.
- Ability to interpret measurements, layouts, drawings, and flooring installation specifications.
- Knowledge of proper surface preparation and identification of unsuitable flooring substrates.
- Familiarity with professional flooring tools and equipment.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety and safe manual-handling procedures.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, rolling, positioning, and installing large flooring materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing neat, durable, and high-quality flooring installations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on commercial construction or refurbishment projects.
Responsibilities:
- Install vinyl flooring in commercial, healthcare, institutional, and other premises according to project specifications.
- Handle, transport, measure, roll out, and position large rolls of vinyl flooring safely and accurately.
- Prepare floors and work surfaces before vinyl installation, ensuring surfaces are clean, dry, level, and suitable for flooring application.
- Measure rooms and floor areas accurately to determine material requirements and installation layouts.
- Cut vinyl flooring to required dimensions and shapes using appropriate professional tools.
- Lay and position vinyl flooring carefully to achieve accurate alignment and a neat finished appearance.
- Join vinyl flooring sections and create clean, durable, and properly finished seams.
- Perform vinyl welding using appropriate welding equipment and techniques to produce secure, hygienic, and watertight seams where required.
- Trim and finish welded seams to achieve a smooth and professional surface.
- Apply appropriate adhesives and bonding materials according to manufacturer instructions and project requirements.
- Install vinyl flooring around walls, corners, doorways, fixtures, columns, drains, and other obstacles.
- Perform coving, edging, skirting, and other finishing work where required.
- Inspect completed flooring installations for gaps, wrinkles, bubbles, uneven seams, lifting edges, or other defects.
- Repair or replace damaged or improperly installed sections as required.
- Ensure flooring materials are properly stored, handled, and protected from damage before and during installation.
- Use flooring installation tools, cutting equipment, welding machines, heat guns, rollers, and other equipment safely and correctly.
- Read and follow installation instructions, technical specifications, drawings, measurements, and worksite requirements.
- Work in hospitals and other commercial premises while maintaining appropriate cleanliness, hygiene, and infection-control practices.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the installation process.
- Properly dispose of flooring offcuts, packaging, adhesives, and other construction waste.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling when moving large rolls of flooring.
- Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, builders, and other trades to ensure flooring work is completed efficiently.
- Report material defects, equipment problems, surface issues, and installation concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Complete flooring installation work within required project schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
