Turbo Staff Limited is seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics to support civil construction and mining operations in New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy diesel-powered equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency, safety, and reliability across project sites.

Diesel Mechanic (Civil & Mining Equipment)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience as a Diesel Mechanic in civil construction or mining equipment.
• At least a High School Graduate.
• Proven experience working with heavy earthmoving and mining equipment.
• Strong background in servicing and repairing diesel-powered machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and dump trucks.
• Proven track record of overseas employment with supporting documents, including:
  • Certificate of Employment (COE)
  • Employment Contract
  • Letter from Employer
  • Pay Slips
  • Company ID
  • Residence Permit, or equivalent employment records.
• Must possess a valid Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from the country of work or residence for more than five (5) years, where applicable.
• Very good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Preferably with a valid driver’s license.
• Strong diagnostic, technical, and problem-solving skills with attention to safety and detail.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair heavy earthmoving and mining equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, dump trucks, and related machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct fault finding and breakdown repairs on diesel-powered machinery in civil and mining environments.
• Ensure all mechanical work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Inspect equipment regularly and identify potential issues before failure occurs.
• Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and technical reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and site teams regarding equipment status and repair requirements.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
