Truck / Trailer Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience as a Truck / Trailer Mechanic.
• Proven experience working with Isuzu and/or Scania trucks is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, diagnostics, and maintenance.
• Experience in handling mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Must be able to perform both preventative maintenance and major repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of trucks and trailers, particularly Isuzu and Scania units.
• Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines, identifying faults and carrying out necessary repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
• Perform major and minor repairs, including engine overhauls and component replacements.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
