TRUCK DRIVER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Truck Driver.
  • Must have completed at least one (1) year of college or a one-year vocational course.
  • Must possess a valid Philippine CE Driver’s License or an equivalent heavy vehicle driver’s license.
  • Proven experience operating multi-combination trucks, including Prime Movers, Semi-Trailers, B-Doubles, or Road Trains.
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian MR, HR, HC, or MC driver’s license, or possess a valid Philippine or Canadian heavy vehicle license acceptable for licensing requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle safety inspections, load restraint procedures, and heavy vehicle operation.
  • Familiarity with Australian road transport regulations, fatigue management, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements is an advantage.
  • Physically fit and able to perform loading inspections, long-distance driving, and other transport-related duties.
  • Responsible, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Prime Movers, Semi-Trailers, B-Doubles, Road Trains, and other heavy combination vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre-start, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and identify maintenance requirements.
  • Transport goods and cargo according to assigned delivery schedules while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Secure, inspect, and verify loads before departure to ensure compliance with load restraint requirements.
  • Complete delivery documentation, logbooks, inspection reports, and transport records accurately.
  • Comply with Australian road transport laws, workplace health and safety regulations, fatigue management requirements, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report mechanical issues, defects, or incidents to management.
  • Maintain communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery status and operational updates.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean, properly maintained, and operated according to company policies.
  • Follow company procedures for cargo handling, vehicle operation, and emergency response.
  • Provide professional customer service during deliveries and collections.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management.
