Stellar New Zealand Ltd. is seeking experienced Trailer Truck Drivers for deployment to New Zealand. The successful candidate will operate heavy freight vehicles, manage electronic dispatch systems, and ensure safe and efficient transport operations across regional and long-haul routes.

TRAILER TRUCK DRIVER

Qualifications:

• Experience operating both manual (8-speed) and automatic transmission trucks.
• Minimum 2 years verifiable experience as a truck driver and at least 5 years total driving experience.
• Must hold Class 1–5 NZ Full Driver’s License or equivalent with a clean and safe driving record.
• Strong English communication skills; willing to take IELTS or PTE if required.
• Competent in using smartphone apps, electronic logbooks, and dispatch management systems.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations, freight handling, and transport compliance.
• Physically fit, reliable, and able to work long hours and varying schedules.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain professionalism in all driving operations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate trailer trucks safely for local, regional, and long-distance freight transport.
• Handle manual and automatic transmission vehicles according to road and safety standards.
• Use electronic logbooks and dispatch systems to record trips, schedules, and deliveries.
• Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of goods.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain compliance with transport laws, road safety rules, and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining fuel efficiency and safety standards.
• Keep accurate records of trips, deliveries, and operational activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle.
