TRAILER MECHANIC

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the maintenance and repair of trailers, trucks, agricultural machinery, or industrial equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experienced in trailer inspections, chassis repairs, and component replacement.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a workshop environment.
  • Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proactive, reliable, and results-driven with a strong work ethic.
  • Must hold a Technical Diploma or Certification in Automotive Technology, Electro-mechanics, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, or related field.
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledgeable in preventive maintenance procedures and workshop safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of trailers and heavy transport equipment.
  • Conduct inspections of trailer chassis, suspension systems, brakes, and structural components.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system faults.
  • Replace defective components, parts, and trailer accessories as necessary.
  • Carry out welding, fitting, and alignment work related to trailer repairs when required.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate repair records, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with workshop safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and workshop teams to complete repair jobs efficiently and on schedule.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.
