Tower Crane Operator

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 3 years of verifiable experience as a Tower Crane Operator or in the same position being applied for.
• Strong practical knowledge of tower crane operation, lifting procedures, and load handling.
• Ability to safely operate tower cranes in construction and project environments.
• Good understanding of crane safety procedures, lifting operations, and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to accurately follow lifting plans, instructions, and communication signals.
• Strong concentration, coordination, judgment, and attention to detail.
• Physically and mentally capable of working safely in a demanding construction environment.
• Reliable, responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a construction team.
• Must have strong English communication skills.
• Willing to take IELTS or PTE as required for employment or migration purposes.

Responsibilities:

• Operate tower cranes safely and efficiently to lift and move construction materials, equipment, and structural components.
• Perform pre-operation inspections of the crane and ensure controls and safety devices are functioning properly.
• Safely lift, swing, position, and lower loads according to the lifting plan and supervisor’s instructions.
• Monitor load weights, lifting capacity, crane movements, and site conditions during operations.
• Coordinate with riggers, signalers, site supervisors, and other construction personnel during lifting activities.
• Follow standard hand signals, radio communications, and other approved methods of communication with ground personnel.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and balanced before lifting.
• Maintain safe clearances from buildings, structures, power lines, personnel, and other site hazards.
• Operate the crane smoothly and accurately to prevent damage to materials, equipment, and structures.
• Conduct routine checks and report mechanical, electrical, or operational problems to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow approved lifting procedures, crane operating instructions, and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Maintain awareness of weather and site conditions that may affect safe crane operation.
• Assist with daily crane inspections, maintenance checks, and required operational documentation.
• Stop lifting operations when unsafe conditions or equipment problems are identified.
• Maintain a clean and safe operating area around the crane and follow all site safety requirements.
• Perform other tower crane operating duties as assigned by the supervisor or project management.
