Technical Procurement Engineer – IAQ and Environmental Systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental/Health/Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in technical procurement, engineering, HVAC, indoor air quality (IAQ), environmental systems, or related technical fields.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, technical evaluations, and engineering documentation.
- Ability to review engineering drawings, technical specifications, equipment datasheets, and manufacturer documentation.
- Experience evaluating supplier proposals and preparing technical bid evaluation reports.
- Knowledge of IAQ systems, HVAC equipment, environmental monitoring systems, and applicable industry standards.
- Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations related to engineering projects.
- Experience with public-sector procurement, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects, or facility management is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering or procurement management software.
- Willing to work in Kuwait under the employer’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop technical specifications, scopes of work, and procurement documents for Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and environmental systems.
- Review engineering drawings, technical datasheets, product catalogs, test reports, and manufacturer documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Evaluate supplier technical proposals, quotations, and product submissions, ensuring they meet project specifications and applicable industry standards.
- Prepare technical bid evaluation reports and provide recommendations for supplier selection based on technical compliance and project requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of equipment and materials.
- Ensure procured equipment complies with applicable environmental, health, safety, and quality regulations.
- Manage procurement activities from technical evaluation through purchase order issuance, delivery, installation, commissioning support, and warranty management.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and technical documentation to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, equipment specifications, asset information, and technical documentation.
- Assist in resolving technical procurement issues, non-conformance reports, and supplier-related concerns.
- Support value engineering initiatives by identifying technically compliant and cost-effective procurement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual requirements, and industry best practices.
- Perform other procurement and engineering duties assigned by management.
