TEACHER ASSISTANT

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
  • Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Education/Teaching/Training; Others or similar fields.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in teaching, childcare, tutoring, student support, or classroom environments.
  • Experience managing students and helping them learn English, complete homework, and develop academically and personally.
  • Basic to intermediate computer and technology skills, including familiarity with learning management systems, online learning resources, and digital teaching tools.
  • Strong communication, patience, adaptability, empathy, and classroom-management skills.
  • Ability to create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • TESOL certification is an advantage but not required.
  • Previous volunteer or childcare experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support and guidance to students in a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist students in learning English, completing homework, and developing effective study habits.
  • Monitor students’ academic progress, behavior, participation, and overall development.
  • Help students develop social, communication, and personal skills to become confident and well-rounded individuals.
  • Provide individualized assistance based on students’ learning needs, abilities, and progress.
  • Use online resources, learning management systems, and digital teaching tools to support learning activities.
  • Prepare and organize learning materials, activities, and exercises appropriate to students’ needs.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other staff regarding student progress and concerns.
  • Encourage positive behavior, participation, independence, and respect among students.
  • Maintain a supportive and well-organized learning environment and follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
