STEEL FIXER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience as a Steel Fixer or in a similar construction role.
  • No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
  • Must have a valid passport with at least two (2) years validity.
  • Knowledge of steel reinforcement installation, bar bending, and concrete structure preparation.
  • Ability to understand construction drawings and reinforcement specifications.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling construction materials and performing manual work.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work effectively as part of a construction team.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret structural drawings, bar bending schedules, and construction plans.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and shape reinforcing steel bars using manual and mechanical tools.
  • Position, align, and secure reinforcing steel using wire, clips, spacers, and other supporting materials.
  • Install reinforcement steel for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and other concrete structures.
  • Assemble and install reinforcement cages and prefabricated steel assemblies.
  • Assist with lifting, positioning, and securing heavy reinforcement materials safely.
  • Inspect completed reinforcement work to ensure compliance with project requirements, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
  • Follow site safety procedures and construction regulations at all times.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other construction workers to ensure efficient workflow.
