We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sous Chef to assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food quality, preparation, and presentation. The successful candidate will support menu execution, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure smooth daily culinary operations in a professional restaurant environment.
SOUS CHEF
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Sous Chef, Assistant Sous Chef, or senior culinary position.
- Experience in professional restaurants, hotels, or fine dining establishments is preferred.
- Previous experience in bakery, baking, or pastry preparation is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and culinary standards.
- Ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff effectively.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Pleasant personality with a professional attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and flexible working hours.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning, organizing, and supervising daily kitchen operations.
- Support food preparation and cooking activities while ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow and service standards.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and adherence to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu preparation, recipe development, and implementation of new dishes.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, reduce food waste, and assist with stock control.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen team members when required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, hygiene regulations, and workplace safety procedures.
