SITE ENGINEER (MECHANICAL)

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of hands-on experience in electrical construction supervision.
• Proven experience on large-scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use construction projects.
• Strong background in supervising power distribution systems, lighting installations, cable works, panel installations, and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and technical specifications.
• Solid knowledge of electrical installation methods, workmanship standards, material specifications, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, electrical safety standards, the Saudi Building Code (SBC), and the Saudi Electrical Code.
• Hands-on experience with electrical installation tools, testing equipment, and construction practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage site teams effectively.
• Proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills and Working at Height certification are an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate electrical construction activities for retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use projects.
• Manage electrical crews and tradesmen performing power distribution, cable pulling and termination, lighting installation, conduit works, panel installation, low-voltage systems, fire alarm systems, security systems, and data/communication network installations.
• Ensure all electrical works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, productivity, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate daily work schedules, manpower deployment, materials, and resources to ensure timely project completion.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, including electrical safety procedures, and conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Monitor site progress, manpower attendance, material usage, and prepare daily reports for the Site Engineer.
• Identify and resolve on-site technical issues, quality concerns, and work delays in coordination with the Site Engineer.
• Verify cable routing, equipment installation, insulation testing, continuity testing, and other electrical quality control activities.
• Inspect delivered materials and equipment, ensure proper storage, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
