SITE ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in electrical engineering for construction projects.
• Proven experience on large-scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use developments.
• Hands-on experience with power distribution systems, lighting systems, low-voltage systems, fire alarm systems, and electrical installations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, specifications, and method statements.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment installation, testing, commissioning, quality control, and site supervision practices.
• Familiarity with construction management ERP systems, digital reporting tools, the Saudi Building Code (SBC), and the Saudi Electrical Code.
• Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and electrical safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills with the ability to manage multiple site activities.
• Proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor daily electrical construction activities for retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use projects.
• Oversee the installation of power distribution systems, lighting systems, low-voltage systems, fire alarm systems, security systems, data/communication networks, and other electrical works.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, specifications, and method statements to ensure accurate site execution.
• Conduct routine site inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, site supervisors, and construction teams to ensure electrical works are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Prepare daily progress reports, site records, and work completion documentation for submission to the Project Engineer.
• Verify cable routing, equipment installation, site measurements, and support electrical system testing and commissioning activities.
• Monitor the delivery, storage, and usage of electrical materials and equipment to maintain adequate inventory and minimize wastage.
• Identify technical issues, non-conformances, and construction challenges, and recommend corrective actions in coordination with the Project Engineer.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, electrical safety standards, and support the preparation of as-built documentation for project handover.
