SHEET METAL WORKER (HVAC)

As a Sheetmetal Worker, you will cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components for a range of applications, from industrial machinery to building fixtures. Your expertise will ensure projects are completed to exact specifications, on time, and in compliance with Australian standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication work for HVAC systems (ducting, ventilation, installation)
• Can read and understand technical and construction drawings accurately
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
• Proficiency in welding is an added advantage
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Measure, mark, cut, and bend sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
• Assemble, join, and install sheet metal parts using welding, riveting, or soldering techniques
• Operate fabrication machinery such as guillotines, presses, rollers, and folding machines
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and compliance with safety standards
• Repair or modify existing sheet metal structures and components
• Work with stainless steel, aluminum, galvanized steel, and other sheet materials
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with Australian workplace regulations
