The Senior Upholstery Technician at the Logistics Centre is responsible for leading and executing upholstery projects, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality. This role involves supervising upholstery staff, managing workflow, maintaining inventory of materials, and collaborating with other departments to meet operational needs. The Senior Upholstery Technician plays a key role in training team members, ensuring safety compliance, and contributing to the continuous improvement of upholstery services within the Logistics Centre.

Senior Upholstery Technician

Qualifications:

• At least a high school graduate
• Minimum of 2 years related experience
• Proven experience in upholstery, with advanced knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a workshop or logistics environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and perform upholstery tasks including repair, restoration, and fabrication of furniture and equipment.
• Supervise and mentor upholstery staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
• Coordinate upholstery projects and ensure timely completion with high-quality standards.
• Maintain inventory of upholstery materials and tools and coordinate procurement as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to assess upholstery needs and provide solutions.
• Inspect completed work for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Contribute to process improvements and innovation in upholstery techniques and materials.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
