CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION SPECIALIST

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable professional experience as a Concrete Placer or in a similar concrete construction position.
• Proven experience in concrete placing, paving, and burnishing.
• Strong experience in commercial concrete placement and finishing.
• Skilled in free screeding and various concrete finishing techniques.
• Experience working with decorative concrete, standard concrete slabs, and structural concrete.
• Experience with post-tension concrete systems or willingness to undergo further training and develop skills in this area.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, detailed plans, set-out levels, and technical specifications.
• Ability to place, level, screed, and finish concrete accurately according to commercial construction standards.
• Good understanding of concrete finishing requirements and quality standards.
• Ability to adapt to different types of concrete construction projects and site requirements.
• English language proficiency: IELTS overall score of 4.0 or PTE overall score of 29.
• Valid driver’s license required, with the ability to drive a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a large, high-performing commercial concrete construction team.
• Place, spread, level, screed, and finish concrete in accordance with project specifications and commercial construction standards.
• Perform free screeding accurately and efficiently to achieve the required surface levels and finishes.
• Carry out concrete paving, burnishing, and other finishing operations as required.
• Work on different concrete projects, including decorative concrete, standard slabs, structural concrete, and post-tension floors.
• Assist with concrete placement and finishing activities for post-tension flooring systems in accordance with project requirements.
• Read and follow construction drawings, set-out levels, and technical specifications to ensure accurate concrete placement.
• Check concrete levels, thickness, alignment, and surface quality throughout the placement and finishing process.
• Maintain consistent workmanship and finishing standards across all concrete pours.
• Coordinate with supervisors, site managers, and other construction workers to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
• Use concrete placement and finishing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of tools, equipment, and assigned work areas.
• Follow construction site safety procedures, workplace regulations, and instructions from supervisors.
• Perform other related concrete construction and finishing duties as assigned.
