SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL CHEMISTRY TEACHER

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or college degree in Chemistry, Education, Teaching, Training, or a similar field.
• Must have a Master’s degree (S2) in Chemistry Education or a closely related field.
• Must hold a valid Chemistry Laboratory License.
• Must have strong knowledge and understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum, particularly IGCSE and AS/A-Level Chemistry.
• A minimum of 2–3 years of successful teaching experience at the AS/A-Level standard is preferred.
• A Cambridge International Education (CIE) Practical Examiner Training Certificate is highly desirable.
• Must have excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a student-centered approach to teaching and learning.
• Must be capable of conducting laboratory practical sessions while maintaining proper safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and rigorous Chemistry lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
• Conduct and supervise laboratory practical sessions while ensuring strict compliance with laboratory safety protocols.
• Assess and monitor student progress through examinations, assignments, laboratory activities, and other evaluation methods.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their academic performance.
• Prepare students for Cambridge International examinations, particularly IGCSE and AS/A-Level Chemistry.
• Develop instructional materials, lesson plans, laboratory activities, and assessment tools.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and academic progress.
• Apply effective classroom management strategies and promote a student-centered learning environment.
• Encourage students to develop scientific knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical laboratory skills.
• Coordinate with colleagues and school administrators to support academic programs and curriculum requirements.
