SENIOR FABRICATION TECHNICIAN (CERAMICS)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• 5–10 years of relevant work experience in fabrication, structural modification, mechanical installation, or a similar field.
• Proven experience leading and supervising a fabrication team.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and installation plans.
• Skilled in arc welding, gas cutting, grinding, drilling, and metal fabrication.
• Experience with fabrication and modification of silos, chutes, machine structures, and industrial equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of proper PPE selection and workplace safety procedures.
• Knowledge of maintaining and safely operating welding, cutting, grinding, and drilling equipment.
• Very good English communication skills.
• Must possess a valid passport.
• Physically fit and able to work in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret structural drawings, fabrication plans, and installation specifications for structural and mechanical works.
• Prepare and execute structural modifications, including the fabrication and modification of silos, chutes, machine structures, and related components.
• Perform arc welding, gas cutting, grinding, drilling, and other metal fabrication activities according to project requirements.
• Lead and supervise the fabrication team to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and according to production schedules.
• Modify and fabricate machine components based on production requirements and approved specifications.
• Assist in the installation, positioning, alignment, and commissioning support of new machines and equipment.
• Inspect fabricated and installed components to ensure proper fit, alignment, strength, and workmanship.
• Ensure proper selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during welding, cutting, grinding, and installation activities.
• Maintain welding machines, cutting machines, grinders, drilling machines, and other workshop equipment in good working condition.
• Conduct routine checks and report defective or damaged equipment for repair or replacement.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the fabrication and work areas remain clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Comply with Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, company policies, workplace safety rules, and production procedures.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, engineering, and other teams to complete fabrication and installation work efficiently.
