SEMI-AUTOMATIC WELDER (SSW)

Qualifications:

  • At least a high school graduate.
  • Physically and mentally fit to work abroad.
  • Medically fit to perform welding and related tasks.
    Must meet Skill Standards required under the SSW program.
  • Must meet Japanese Language Proficiency requirements for SSW.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform semi-automatic welding operations on metal components.
  • Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards.
  • Interpret basic technical drawings and welding instructions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of tools and equipment.
  • Follow workplace safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Assist in general production and fabrication tasks as required.

Requirements:

Skill Standards & Language Proficiency Requirements:

(A) First Timer

  • Prometric Exam in the desired skill category
  • JLPT N4 or JFT Basic with a score above 200

(B) TITP Graduate Applying to the Same Skill Category

  • OTIT or JITCO Certificate
  • Grade 3 Certificate (Senmonkyuu)
  • No need for JLPT N4 or JFT Basic

(C) TITP Graduate Applying to a Different Skill Category

  • OTIT or JITCO Certificate
  • Prometric Exam in the desired skill category
  • JLPT N4 or JFT Basic is required
