Philippine School Doha is seeking a qualified and committed Secondary Social Studies Teacher who can also support guidance and counseling functions. The role involves teaching Social Studies subjects at the secondary level, developing engaging lesson plans, and contributing to students’ academic and personal development in accordance with the school’s curriculum and standards.
Secondary Social Studies Teacher
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Education and Guidance Counseling
- At least 2 years of classroom teaching and/or guidance counseling experience
- Must hold a valid PRC License for both Education and Guidance Counseling
- Open to both male and female applicants
- Must have less than 40 hours of absences in previous employment records
Responsibilities:
- Teach Secondary Social Studies subjects effectively based on curriculum guidelines
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments
- Evaluate student performance and provide academic support when needed
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist in student guidance and counseling activities when required
- Coordinate with parents, faculty, and school administrators regarding student progress
- Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student behavior
- Participate in school programs, meetings, and professional development activities
