We are seeking an experienced Rigging Specialist to plan, prepare, and execute safe lifting and rigging operations for heavy equipment and materials in oil and gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer plant facilities. The successful candidate will ensure all lifting activities are carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans, industry standards, and workplace safety regulations.

RIGGING SPECIALIST

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Rigging Specialist, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer plant maintenance.
  Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• No minimum educational attainment is required.
• Must have maintenance experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer plant environments.
• Must possess a valid Third-Party Rigging Certification (Level I) from recognized organizations such as TÜV or an equivalent certification body.
• Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, lifting equipment, load calculations, and safe lifting practices.
• Ability to read and interpret lifting plans, rigging drawings, and load charts.
• Familiarity with international lifting standards and workplace safety regulations.
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial plant environments.
• Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate rigging and lifting operations for heavy equipment, machinery, and structural components.
• Select, inspect, and properly use rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, hooks, wire ropes, chain blocks, spreader beams, and lifting accessories.
• Prepare loads for lifting by ensuring proper rigging methods, load balance, and secure attachment.
• Work closely with crane operators, supervisors, and lifting teams to execute safe hoisting and installation activities.
• Inspect lifting gear before and after use and ensure all equipment is certified and fit for service.
• Read and interpret lifting plans, rigging drawings, load charts, and work instructions.
• Identify lifting hazards and implement appropriate safety measures before commencing operations.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, international lifting standards, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Report defective lifting equipment, unsafe conditions, or incidents to supervisors immediately.
• Maintain accurate records of lifting equipment inspections and rigging activities as required.
