Grapecare LTD. is seeking experienced Riggers / Load Binders to join its construction and industrial operations in the Czech Republic. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely rigging, securing, lifting, and moving heavy materials and equipment using cranes and lifting devices. The role requires strict adherence to safety procedures, excellent coordination with crane operators, and the ability to work at heights in demanding construction environments.

RIGGER / LOAD BINDER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience as a Rigger / Load Binder.
• Proven experience in crane rigging, load securing, and heavy material handling.
• Knowledge of rigging equipment, lifting techniques, load calculations, and safe lifting practices.
• Familiarity with crane operations, lifting plans, and signaling procedures.
• Ability to inspect lifting equipment and identify unsafe conditions.
• Physically fit with a strong build and capable of lifting materials weighing up to 25 kg.
• Comfortable working at heights of up to 10 meters.
• Category B (passenger car) driver’s license is preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and safety awareness.

Responsibilities:

• Select, inspect, and prepare appropriate slings, chains, wire ropes, shackles, hooks, and load-binding equipment before lifting operations.
• Verify that all rigging equipment is in safe working condition and compliant with lifting safety standards.
• Inspect crane lifting accessories, main mechanisms, and safety devices before commencing work.
• Sling, secure, lift, guide, and release loads using approved rigging methods and techniques.
• Assist in loading, unloading, transporting, positioning, and storing construction materials, machinery, and heavy equipment.
• Communicate effectively with crane operators using standard hand signals, radio communication, or other approved signaling methods.
• Calculate load weight, center of gravity, and determine the appropriate lifting configuration for safe operations.
• Ensure loads are balanced, properly secured, and safely moved without causing damage to personnel, equipment, or property.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance of rigging tools and report damaged or defective equipment immediately.
• Follow occupational health and safety regulations, lifting plans, and site-specific procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform other rigging and material handling duties assigned by supervisors.
