RIGGER II

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Oil & Gas construction projects and GCC countries.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Strong knowledge of lifting and rigging procedures, load calculations, and equipment inspection.
  • Familiarity with lifting plans, safe work practices, and industrial construction environments.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing demanding site work.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform rigging operations for lifting, positioning, and moving heavy equipment, structural materials, and industrial components.
  • Select and inspect slings, shackles, hooks, wire ropes, spreader beams, and other lifting accessories before use.
  • Calculate load weights, determine the center of gravity, and select appropriate rigging methods for safe lifting operations.
  • Attach, secure, balance, and guide loads during lifting activities following approved lifting plans and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with crane operators using standard hand signals and radio communication during lifting operations.
  • Assist lifting supervisors in planning and coordinating routine and complex lifting activities.
  • Monitor lifting operations to ensure compliance with company safety policies, project procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Report defective lifting equipment, unsafe work conditions, and incidents to supervisors immediately.
  • Maintain rigging equipment and ensure proper storage, inspection, and documentation after use.
  • Support continuous improvement in safe lifting practices and maintain a clean and organized work area.
