RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST (X-RAY/IMAGING)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of working experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Must possess a valid PRC License as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Experience in operating diagnostic imaging equipment, including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan, and other imaging modalities is preferred.
- Knowledge of radiographic positioning techniques, radiation safety, and patient care procedures.
- Ability to calibrate, inspect, and maintain radiology equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate diagnostic images.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Willing to work in Papua New Guinea under the employer’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and other imaging examinations as assigned.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently while following established protocols and radiation safety standards.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images to support accurate medical evaluation and diagnosis.
- Calibrate, inspect, and perform routine maintenance checks on radiology equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor imaging equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Maintain accurate patient records, imaging reports, and examination documentation.
- Adhere to infection prevention, radiation protection, and occupational health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe imaging department.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
