QA & QC ENGINEER (E&I)
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Strong experience in QA/QC engineering for Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) construction projects.
- Experience in developing and implementing QA/QC procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality control systems.
- Strong knowledge of reviewing project specifications, electrical and instrumentation drawings, method statements, and technical requirements.
- Experience conducting inspections of E&I installations and incoming materials.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation installation quality requirements.
- Experience preparing and maintaining ITPs, Checklists, MARs, PQDs, Inspection Reports, NCRs, and other QA/QC documentation.
- Ability to coordinate inspections and quality activities with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors, and construction teams.
- Good knowledge of material inspection, approval, identification, certification, and traceability requirements.
- Ability to identify defects, deviations, non-conformities, and workmanship issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Experience monitoring corrective actions and closing out quality observations and NCRs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, specifications, layouts, and technical documents.
- Good understanding of electrical and instrumentation testing, inspection, and commissioning requirements.
- Strong documentation, reporting, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures and quality control systems for Electrical and Instrumentation works.
- Review project specifications, approved drawings, standards, method statements, and other technical documents to establish applicable quality requirements.
- Ensure E&I construction activities comply with approved project specifications, drawings, procedures, and applicable standards.
- Develop and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for electrical and instrumentation activities.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including ITPs, inspection checklists, Material Approval Requests (MARs), Product/Project Quality Documents (PQDs), and Inspection Reports.
- Review incoming electrical and instrumentation materials and equipment for compliance with approved specifications and project requirements.
- Conduct inspections of incoming materials, equipment, components, and E&I installations.
- Verify material identification, specifications, certificates, traceability, and approved sources where required.
- Inspect electrical installations such as cabling, cable trays, conduits, terminations, panels, switchgear, lighting, grounding, and electrical equipment.
- Inspect instrumentation installations, including field instruments, junction boxes, instrument cables, tubing, fittings, supports, and related components.
- Verify that installation activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate and witness inspections and testing activities in accordance with approved ITPs and inspection procedures.
- Prepare and submit inspection requests and coordinate inspection schedules with relevant project personnel.
- Coordinate QA/QC inspection activities with the client, consultant, QA/QC team, Site Engineer, construction supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Participate in client and consultant inspections and provide the required quality documentation and technical information.
- Monitor construction activities and identify defects, deviations, non-conformities, and workmanship issues.
- Issue or assist in preparing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when work or materials do not comply with approved requirements.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions and verify that identified deficiencies are properly rectified.
- Conduct follow-up inspections and close out quality observations and non-conformities.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, testing, approvals, material documentation, and quality activities.
- Ensure proper traceability of inspection results and quality records throughout the project.
- Review test reports and verify that required E&I testing is completed in accordance with approved procedures.
- Coordinate applicable electrical and instrumentation testing, including continuity, insulation resistance, grounding, functional checks, loop checks, and other project-required tests.
- Verify that testing equipment and measuring instruments are properly calibrated where applicable.
- Monitor the quality of installation, workmanship, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with construction teams to resolve quality-related technical issues and prevent recurring defects.
- Participate in quality meetings, site inspections, walkthroughs, and coordination meetings with clients and consultants.
- Assist in preparing quality progress reports and other QA/QC reports required by project management.
- Monitor the implementation of approved QA/QC procedures at the project site.
- Ensure quality documentation is complete, accurate, properly signed, and submitted within required timelines.
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams regarding drawing revisions, technical clarifications, and quality requirements.
- Ensure that approved materials, drawings, procedures, and specifications are used during construction.
- Support the preparation of project quality dossiers and documentation required for project handover and closeout.
- Promote continuous improvement in E&I installation quality and compliance throughout the project.
- Perform other QA/QC engineering and quality-related duties assigned by management.
